The gun is DA/SA. It doesn't need to be cocked to fire. Nevertheless, cheap guns are prone to failure. All it takes is for the valve to rupture for the gun to fire.

The clip is an internal 8 shot cylinder. There is no way to tell from this picture whether or not the gun is loaded.

Even if it's not loaded, I would prefer not having high pressure gas ejected at point blank into my eye! All around a bad decision!
