Cistamax + Eurycomax

Hey Guys
Just got blood results back from an comprehensive blood test which also showed medium-high Total Test (20.7nmol/l) but high SHBG (49) which results in not so ideal free testosterone.
So i decided, to just jump the wagon and do a Cistamax + Eurycomax experiment and retest with all hormone parameters in 2-3 months.
Has anyone taken both together over a period like this? what to expect?

We designed them to work together, and I always try to get people to combine them for best effects. Cistamax and Eurycomax act as a highly effective hormonal and performance stack because they target testosterone production, energy, and recovery through completely non-overlapping and synergistic biological pathways. While Eurycomax primarily works by optimizing the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal (HPG) axis and preventing testosterone from converting into estrogen, Cistamax directly triggers the internal cellular machinery of the testes and stimulates growth hormone pathways. The eurycomanone in Eurycomax acts heavily at the upstream level. It prompts the pituitary gland to release Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH), signaling the Leydig cells to produce more testosterone. The echinacoside and acteoside in Cistamax work at the local level inside the testes. They upregulate key steroidogenic enzymes (such as CYP11A1, 3β-HSD, and StAR protein) that physically build testosterone out of cholesterol.
In addition, eurycomanone is an aromatase inhibitor. It stops the aromatase enzyme from converting your newly created testosterone into estrogen (E₂), locking the hormones into their active androgenic state. However, tongkat ali can sometimes raise prolactin levels. We addressed this in Eurycomax by including Mucuna pruriens for its L-DOPA content. L-DOPA increases dopamine, which acts as a direct prolactin inhibitor in the brain, keeping your mood and libido firing optimally. Then the icariin in the Epimedium extract helps as well, both through dopamine and other mechanisms. Icariin downregulates the ERK1/2 signaling pathway and blocks estrogen receptor-alpha (ERα). This controls feedback loops that drive prolactin levels upward.
For the sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), we include boron in Eurycomax. Boron lowers SHBG by disrupting the binding bond between it and sex hormones like testosterone. This uncoupling effect frees up bound hormones, making more testosterone biologically active. However, we did keep the dose lower on it, at 1.5mg of boron. So if you are having a tough time keeping SHBG down and free testosterone up, you can always add in our standalone boron glycinate as well. That will give you an extra 6mg. I'd just start with the Eurycomax and Cistamax combo first, then add in more boron if you are still having issues with SHBG.
Beyond sex hormones, the physical body recomp properties of this stack rely heavily on growth and energy factors. The active compounds in Cistanche activate the ghrelin receptor. This pathway directly stimulates the secretion of Growth Hormone (GH), supporting lean muscle tissue repair and fat metabolism. Then we included shilajit to maximize mitochondrial efficiency and direct cellular energy (ATP) into working muscles. This heavily balances the metabolic drain of intense physical training. I know I am biased, but I think we made a fantastic combo!
Given your baseline of 20.7 nmol/l Total T and an SHBG of 49, you are a prime candidate for this specific stack. Since your total production is already solid, your main goal is unbinding that testosterone to maximize free T, while giving your natural production a multi-pathway push. With you tracking this via bloodwork over a 2 to 3 month period, here is a realistic timeline of what you can expect to experience and see on paper:
Weeks 1–2:
* You should notice a swift uptick in clean energy and daily motivation, largely driven by the dopaminergic support (L-DOPA from Mucuna) and the mitochondrial ATP boost from the Shilajit in Cistamax.
* The boron in Eurycomax begins disrupting the binding bond between SHBG and your sex hormones, slowly starting the process of unlocking free testosterone.
* The active compounds in Cistanche mimic ghrelin, the hunger hormone. Ghrelin receptor activation signals the pituitary gland to release pulses of Growth Hormone. Because GH spikes heavily during slow-wave sleep, this early phase often improves overnight recovery and morning freshness.
Weeks 3–6:
* This is usually when physical performance changes surface. You will likely feel a strong increase in gym recovery, local muscle pumps, and physical endurance. Libido and morning wood typically become much more pronounced during this window.
* The upstream signaling from Tongkat (LH/FSH stimulation) and the local testicular enzymes activated by Cistanche are hitting their stride. Total production is scaling up, while the aromatase-inhibiting properties of eurycomanone keep estrogen in check.
* Elevated GH triggers the liver to produce Insulin-Like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1). Together, GH and IGF-1 accelerate nitrogen retention, amino acid uptake, and collagen synthesis in connective tissues, speeding up physical repair from intense training.
Weeks 8–12:
* Body composition changes (leaner look, better muscle fullness via ghrelin receptor and growth hormone pathway support) should become visibly noticeable. The initial acute surge of energy smooths out into a resilient, stable baseline.
* When you do your retest, you should expect to see a meaningful drop in your SHBG numbers, resulting in a significantly higher free testosterone percentage. Your total testosterone will likely see an increase as well due to the dual-pathway production.
* The sustained increase in GH pathways shifts your metabolism toward lipolysis (mobilizing stored fat for fuel) while preserving and building lean muscle tissue. This works hand-in-hand with the newly freed testosterone from the Eurycomax, maximizing your overall body recomp results by the time you do your follow-up bloodwork.
Because we kept the boron dose in Eurycomax conservative at 1.5mg, it might be just enough to nudge your SHBG down into an ideal zone without crashing it; especially with tongkat lowering SHBG as well. However, since you are starting at 49, if your 2 to 3 month bloodwork shows that your SHBG is still being stubborn, that would be the exact cue to add in our standalone boron glycinate for an extra 6mg. Good luck with the experiment, and definitely make a follow-up post when you get those retest numbers back!
