Expired date Nootropics Depot

Just got a bottle of Sibelius Sage and realized the best-by date has already passed. Reached out to customer service, and they said it was 'retested'—but offered no proof, no documents, nothing. Refused to send a replacement. Pretty frustrating to pay full price for an expired product with zero transparency.

Hang on. So you're saying it's normal to ship out products post expiration as long as they've been retested? Sure, I get that the expiration date you slap on these novel ingredients is arbitrary but that doesn't instil confidence.
I'm assuming you retest for potency but what about moisture buildup, bacterial/fungal growth, degradation into unwanted substances, etc.?
Also, I'm curious if it's common in the supplement industry for expired batches to be mixed in with newer batches as long as they meet spec.

No, he is saying we have a shelf life stability testing program to assess the actual stability of each product, and update our best by estimates based on this data. In our stability testing program, we don't just test for potency. We test for ID, moisture, microbial, etc. We also don't just ship jars that are past that date on the label. This was obviously a mistake by either fulfillment or inventory. They do first-in first-out in fulfillment, but sometimes they miss a bottle on the shelf or something is a slow seller and they don't pull it in time. We always pull product 6 months before the best by date, but of course with thousands of lots over the years, sometimes someone makes a mistake.
