I've been trying out the new Mushroom Magic Matcha Baller Edition these last few days. While I never tried the original Mushroom Magic Matcha, as I tend to prefer Ceremonial Grade Japanese Matcha, I can at least speak to my experiences with this one compared with other Ceremonial Grade Matcha I have had in the past and what I liked and disliked about this one in general.
The Mushroom Magic Matcha Baller Edition is one of the smoothest matchas I have had in a while, compared with other Japanese Matcha I've used which tend to taste more on the grassy side. This one was more neutral in flavor. This is not inherently a bad thing, though, as I imagine that NootropicsDepot had to choose a Matcha that paired well with all the various mushrooms they added and didn't want the mushroom taste to come out way too much and spoil the drink's taste. I definitely went with a matcha that melded the mushroom flavors the best. Some of the stronger more grassy/bitter matches just don't work with the mushroom notes. You also have to be a certain type of matcha lover to want those stronger flavors. Also, I didn't want to go crazy with caffeine, but I wanted to keep it consistent each time. That's why we decided on 75mg. The Mushroom Magic Coffee is 150mg, which gives you a stronger kick. However, people drinking coffee are usually looking for a stronger kick. Matcha drinkers want a more smooth one.
Sachets are certainly a possibility. We are looking into machines to do it. It definitely makes things more convenient and less messy. This matcha certainly gets everywhere if you are not careful.
Also, pro tip: If you like lavender, dump some lavender syrup into it with some frothed oat milk. It's delicious! I am thinking of formulating a pre-made lavender version for this reason. The flavors really go well together.
