Hi
Does anybody know, if taking S-Acetly Glutathione after drinking has the same problematic effect on the liver, as taking NAC after drinking?

No, the direct glutathione versions can all be taken before or after, as they don't have the same issue interacting with ROS generated by ethanol that generate thiyl radicals like NAC does. When taking before drinking, NAC can directly prevent the creation of these ROS from ethanol metabolism, and prevent the initial TNF-α spike. However, when taken after drinking, the NAC reacts with these ROS to create thiyl radicals can become pro-oxidant. This is what causes the increased toxicity from NAC in that scenario. The glutathione derivatives don't have that issue, because they can go to work counteracting the ROS and TNF-α directly.
