My mom comes home from her stressful work and just wants to shut off her brain and relax. So she grabs a cup (but ends up being much more) of wine and relaxes. Shes realizing the negative effects its having on her life mainly the weight gain, and she wants to stop this habit.
I suggested Kava, but im wondering what you would all recommend she try?
On a side note, does anyone have any experience with Tru Kava and how it compares to NDs Kava?

Thanks for the clarification!
So you’re saying it could be real but nobody really knows?
Do you have a timeline for your Ecklonia Cava product and maybe even a plan to have a warehouse in Europe? 😜
What I can say regarding the product, I feel the gabaergic effects stronger than any other supplement that I took in the past aswell as that the effects sustain about 10-12 hours long.
From my knowledge, only Ecklonia Cava could have such long gabaergic effects right?

Anything could be real by that measure! LOL. It's up to the brands selling products to PROVE they are real BEFORE they sell them to customers. Otherwise, what's the point of anything? Just randos selling untested shit saying: "Well it could be real. Might not be, too." I've wanted to sell Ecklonia cava for many many years. I have chosen not to till I can prove it's real. That shouldn't be a hot take, but it is in this industry.
There are a lot of GABAergic things. I could sell you green tea extract with etizolam in it and it would calm you down. Just because something is calming doesn't mean it is real. It could be real. Who knows. That's the problem. We shouldn't have to speculate whether it is real. It should be proven to be real before customers ever put it into their bodies. I've also bought a a bunch of supposed Ecklonia cava from the market, and none of them seem to match what they should look like.
Here is the powder and the dried seaweed itself
It's jet black, and smells/tastes like seaweed with a distinct bitterness. The other stuff I have gotten from brands are totally different colors, and none of them smell or taste right. One of them looks, smells, and tastes exactly like a high EGCG green tea extract. This would fool the Alkemist testing on the page you posted, as green tea would have the polyphenols in it. I submitted that sample to my lab to see if they can confirm it is just a high EGCG green tea extract, because it tastes exactly like it. That the thing. If you don't test for identity, you could have a 50% polyphenol powder from any plant, and those test results posted would be the same. Doesn't mean it is Ecklonia cava.
As for a timeline for ours, it's hard to say. The botanists at Alkemist are validating that the raw dried seaweed sample we sent matches the published research for the Ecklonia cava species. Then we will use that to create a botanical reference material. I am hoping it won't be long.
