Best alternative to a glass of wine to end the day?

My mom comes home from her stressful work and just wants to shut off her brain and relax. So she grabs a cup (but ends up being much more) of wine and relaxes. Shes realizing the negative effects its having on her life mainly the weight gain, and she wants to stop this habit.
I suggested Kava, but im wondering what you would all recommend she try?
On a side note, does anyone have any experience with Tru Kava and how it compares to NDs Kava?
