Can anyone give me any advice on what I should do? Will I have to contact my bank to sort this out or will ND rectify this themselves? Thanks.

It's your bank holding the funds. When you make a credit card payment attempt, it does something called "authorize and hold." This means that when you checkout, it's just authorizing the charge and placing a hold on it from your bank. If it is successfully authorized, then all the charges from that day batch at a specific time. This is 5pm Phoenix time for us. Since yours was denied, it did not actually batch at 5pm. However, your bank still keeps a hold on the funds just in case, because they don't know when our processing bank batches. They release that hold when a specific time has passed. That's different for every bank. It happens automatically.
