/u/pretty-chill, I remember you and MYASD mentioned it’s a tough one.
Is DHH-B still in the works, and any ETA you could share?
Thanks!

Yeah probably to some extent, but you know it better than anyone: the supplement industry is a cesspool of cheats and liars who really stand out for their ability to somehow not go bankrupt while being genuinely very close to clinically mentally handicapped. That “somehow” is egregious baldfaced lies without the slightest whiff of integrity or ethics
Nootropics Depot is like the lotus which grows from sludge and muck but remains pure and shining

Yeah, buildings would be falling down if the concrete industry was as shitty as the supplement industry. Your assessment of the this industry is poignant; perhaps even not critical enough. Some of the people in this industry are literal scum, and "very close to clinically mentally handicapped" isn't hyperbole. Sometimes it feels like we are the only ones having any issues, too. Everyone else just lies, does no testing, makes disease claims, pays for fake reviews, and shills, yet they don't ever seem to have anything happen to them. Our Amazon listings get pulled for "supports cardiovascular health" while our competitors say "protects from heart attacks and stroke!" I literally screenshot everyone's ads when I get them. I have hundreds of pictures of everyone making disease claims. The dumbest one I saw just two days ago was one of them answering questions from customers about diseases. The customer asks: "What helps with Cushing's disease?" and they respond with: "You should take our X product! This is NOT health advice" YES IT IS, you stupid fucking idiots! You can't just give health advice in relation to diseases, then follow it with a statement that it wasn't health advice! This isn't 1984! Then the next comment is: "What would help with early indications of kidney disease" and they respond with: "Our X product has the potential to help in this area. We can also say our Y and Z products would be others to consider. This is NOT medical advice." The fucking customer even said DISEASE in that question... You're telling me that's not medical advice, and you are not making disease claims? I feel like I am taking crazy pills!
We have fucking folders of research studies for every product that corresponds to the claims we are making. We have this because of the recent FTC actions in the space, where they cited almost 700 supplement companies for unsubstantiated claims. Every word we use, and every statement we make, we go over with a fine toothed comb. We have internal calls where we go back and forth on whether we feel a claim is substantiated. Sometimes we go back and remove them if we feel there is not enough evidence. However, our competitors just say whatever the fuck they want, in whatever the way they want to, and they never have anything happen to them. We basically walk on eggshells and constantly have issues. Did you know our NMN ads are the only ones disapproved right now, and nobody at Google can tell me why? Like if Google changed their policies, and they no longer allow NMN advertising, fine. I will follow whatever rules we need to, as long as they are enforced EVENLY. However, we are the ONLY ONES who have had their NMN ads disapproved. Everyone else is still up. That's just the latest in a decade of frustrating things we have to deal with, seemingly exclusively. Don't even get me started on the lab testing side of things.
Anyway, I could rant for days about this shitty garbage can of an industry. However, then people just say I am making shit up to sell more product. The sad thing is that I KNOW our competitors that read my rants know they are not doing things properly. They know it in their bones that what I am saying is true. I've spent countless millions of dollars building our lab and staffing it with qualified scientists to make sure we solve problems BEFORE we sell things to customers, yet these morally bankrupt simpletons we call competitors try to make our lab seem like a bad thing! "Ohh, it's not 3rd party, so it is biased!" Who the fuck takes the samples and sends them in for your products, the magical unbiased sample fairy?!? YOU DO, you ill-equipped duplicitous fucks! Everyone just has to trust that you sent a real sample of the real batch you are using to sell to customers, and they have to trust that you sampled correctly. We have an entire sampling SOP, and sampling probes to ensure we are getting representative samples that correspond to the entire batch. I bet they don't even know what a sampling probe is, much less have a sampling procedure SOP. 3rd party just means "someone other than me." 3rd party doesn't mean good. This narrative they have started is totally fucking batshit insane when you really think about it! The labs these people are using are FUCKING GARBAGE! I've proven they are using shitty non-validated chemistry years and years ago, yet everyone still uses them. Ohh, but it's tHiRd PaRtY... That means gud! No, what it means is they are incapable or unwilling to build a lab of their own. I am the only one that has put his money where his mouth is, and actually tried to push these standards forward! The even dumber part is that WE STILL USE THIRD PARTY LABS for many things. No one lab can do it all. Other ISO certified labs also SEND US SAMPLES that they can't test! Yeah, such a bad thing! Wow, so biased. That's right, this shithole of an industry ran better before I came along. I'm actually bad. "The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command."
Okay, now I am done.
