Ay I totally understand! I wasn’t trying to imply anything negative about you or ND, just the state of nootropics in general. I feel like I got in right on the tail end of everything in 2018-2020 and it’s really cool to be able to go back and see all the info that you would personally share. I seriously appreciate your response though, I’m sure quite a few of us here will be glad to see you address this. Happy holidays, I hope you and your people are doing well and thanks for being awesome!

Sometimes we are naive idealists when we get into something, and are then forced to become slightly more jaded pragmatists as time goes on. The only thing stopping ourselves from spiraling to defeated nihilists is ourselves. We have to be willing to force ourselves to see the positives, and continue our quest for advancement with the tools we have available. Nobody has ever accomplished anything of value for the world by focusing on the negatives. We must strive every day to keep focus on our goals, and to manifest the change we want to see in the world. The biggest lesson I have learned with my time in this industry is that one person really can make a difference, but only if one focuses on the things they can change, and lets go of the things they can't. Expecting that one person can affect all the positive change needed in an industry, all at once, is just not reality. In fact, attempting to do so will result in accomplishing nothing. Then what was the point of it all? If we focus on the things we really truly feel we can make a difference on, and let go of all the distractions, we can rise to the occasion. Then perhaps along the way we can inspire others to take up the torch on the other aspects that we had to let go of. Then maybe together, over time, we can all collectively push things forward and leave this world a better place than when we found it.
I was afraid that when we had to shift away from some of the more novel stuff that I would lose my purpose. However, my real purpose has always been advancing the lab testing and quality control standards of the industry, along with consumer protection and education. If other operations put that mission at risk, why continue them? Furthermore, why discount pushing the science forward on natural things? I have not just been surprised at the success in that regard, but I have realized that I was completely discounting an entire area of focus with infinite possibilities for advancement! Not only did I not lose my purpose. I solidified the one I already knew I had! So yes, things are different than they were in the old days. However, that's okay! We are doing some insanely cool things, and we are pushing the science more forward than I ever thought possible. I will continue to focus on the things I know I can positively change, and hopefully continue to inspire others to do the same.
You have a happy holiday season as well!
