He is also trying to sell a product. MYASD has an almost cult following on here, it's pretty interesting.
He also said MACA was 40x stronger the closest competitor, yet its fair to say overall a lot of people were let down by it and there are a few competitors with a more effective such as team maca

I never said it was 40X stronger. I said it had 70X the macamides. I also explained that macamides are only part of what is in maca, and what we were going for was the endocannabinoid effects/FAAH inhibition. Maca has other alkaloids, glucosinolates, and thiohydantoins in addition to the macamides and macaenes. Not to mention, maca powder has vitamins and minerals in it that some people respond to. That's not what we were targeting, though. We were focused just on the most potent macamide/macaene extract for the FAAH/cannabinoid effects, which is what we achieved. Does that mean it is the end all and be all of maca? Absolutely not. Many people probably like the glucosinolate effects from other macas. That's just not what we were targeting with this specific extract. We are going to release more maca extracts, along with other products delivering glucosinolates, for the people that want those. Not every product is going to be the best for everyone. However, some people really love our maca. It's going to depend on the person. If you ever see me claiming one of our products is the most effective one out there for everyone, you can call me out on it. However, I try to be very particular with my claims and statements. We are also trying to push our understanding of these things forward. That's why targeting very specific things in a plant, then seeing how everyone reacts to it, helps us to better understand the mechanisms and what compounds are leading to certain effects. It's clear that some people are really looking for certain effects from maca that are not a result of the macamides/macaenes, and I think it's the alkaloids/glucosinolates that are responsible. We will release one high in those at some point soon.
Regarding Cognance, I have been very clear that people should set their expectations reasonably.
Again, we are targeting ebelin lactone with Cognance. Our working theory is that the depressive/anhedonia symptoms some people get from bacopa is a result of a drop in dopamine, due to a saturation of the aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase enzyme by 5-HTP. Normal bacopa up-regulates tryptophan hydroxylase (TPH), which will create more 5-HTP. That's I think why some people can get demotivated with bacopa. The two bacosides that are responsible for that are bacoside A and A3.

Our patented process for Cognance gets rid of all the bacoside A and A3, and forces the conversion down to ebelin lactone. This means that if my theory is right, and the demotivation/depressive symptoms are from up-regulated TPH, Cognance will not have that side effect. I've taken Cognance regularly for almost a year, and I have not noticed any demotivation or depressive symptoms. In fact, my motivation has been higher on it. You might react differently, though. The only way we will really get a good idea is to hear the anecdotes from the thousands of people that are about to try it. There is no replacement for a larger sample size.
