Any other new mushroom extracts coming?

The ultra-concentrated reishi came out not long ago, we know there is a new Lion's Mane extract in the works (is there an ETA for this one?)....

Are you working on any other special mushroom extracts?

I would love to try a special ultra-concentrated cordyceps extract :)

...it's also the first time I've heard that Horst Defense's products might contain something even small in there :)

Yeah, I was surprised, but data is data. We think we have discovered why now, though. Cordycepin is higher in the mycelium, and Host Defense is all mycelium on grain. Once the cordyceps forms a fruiting body, the cordycepin converts to another compound. We think that compound is leading to the endurance/energy effects that we notice from the fruiting body extracts. We are still doing some more chemistry to confirm, but it would explain the anecdotal results we have observed. Regardless, our biggest criticism of Host Defense was for selling ground up rice and mycelium and calling it a mushroom. That, and the ridiculous prices they charge! Mycelium on grain is fucking CHEAP to make, yet Host Defense is ridiculously priced. Then Paul Stamets goes on and tries to gaslight everyone, and make them think all Chinese fruiting body products contain heavy metals. News flash, moron! ICP-MS exists... We can literally measure that shit! We can also measure the starch content of your ground up rice crispies, and the numbers are not good...

LOL, they fucking baked the lion's mane into muffins... I assume that was at like 350 degrees for 30-60min? They did no testing of the finished muffins to see if they degraded the actives? We've been doing a lot of scien

Cordyceps 10:1 vs 1:1

Replying to Chaloobies · u/MisterYouAreSoDumb u/Pretty-Chill u/NootropicsDepotGuru

1:1 is a whole cordyceps fruiting body powder that has been put through a hot water "extraction" to break down the chitin, but not lose any mushroom material. The 10:1 is a traditional solvent extraction, where 10 grams

My cordyceps congealed! Any way to rescue it? I haven’t gotten any water in it, I changed out the desiccant packets, but now it’s become a gooey lump. My Red Reishi purchased in the same order is still a powder, stored in the same conditions. What’s going on?

Holy crap! Water got in there somehow. Where was it stored?

Cordyceps Dosage Changing?

We originally had the dose the same between the 1:1 and 10:1 extracts. We decided that 250mg was a more appropriate dose for the higher potency 10:1 extract, which is why we made the capsules 250mg. So we switched it on
