Salidrosol "bitterness blocker"- what is it?

Anyone know what this ingredient is in the new salidrosol tablets? I am debating the liquid or the tablets, I'd prefer tablets but I am not sure what this ingredient is. Any ideas?

It's a proprietary bitterness blocker from Gold Coast Ingredients. However, after doing some digging of my own, it appears to be a mixture of D-glucose, maltol, and the ethyl ester of succinic acid.
