Cordyceps source?

I read a while back that ND quit sourcing mushroom extracts from Nammex. Are you guys now growing your own in-lab or something? Specifically in regards to both of your cordyceps products but full disclosure for the other mushroom extracts would also be nice to know. Thanks.

Me I do not care where mushrooms are sourced.
I look at the specifications and the backup of the specifications like test reports to make my purchase decision. A safety report for the heavy metals. All other talk I consider marketing chit-chat

Most brands just lie. 90% of mushrooms are grown in China. It's not just a cost thing, but an infrastructure thing. They have been growing mushrooms like this for thousands of years. They have worked out all the kinks in the process. We have worked with a few US mushroom farms over the past few years as well, but they simply can't do what the Chinese can. Their quality control is nonexistent. Their extract quality is poor. Their price is ridiculous. Why would we pay a ton more for a lesser quality product with more batch-to-batch variability? Lab testing of every batch and product consistency is paramount. Everything else is just lies and marketing.
Want to hear something funny they have been doing lately? Chinese producers of mushrooms have been setting up grow operations in shipping containers. They do all the work in China for creating the substrate and inoculating, then they put those into special containers to ship over. The mushrooms grow in the container on the way, and then are harvested when the container is delivered to the US location. Because they harvest them here, they can put "grown in the US" on them. However, all the actual work was done in China.
