In February, u/Pretty-Chill and u/NootropicsDepotGuru will explore the fascinating mechanisms of Reduced Glutathione and N-Acetyl L-Cysteine (NAC) in the next episode of In Search of Insight, Nootropics Depot’s monthly podcast. Now, it’s time for your questions!
Reduced Glutathione is an essential amino acid compound that’s present in both our bodies and our diets. Despite being a lesser-known compound, reduced glutathione plays an important role in our body’s ability to balance oxidation which benefits our immune system, cellular function, skin health, and cognitive function. N-Acetyl L-Cysteine (NAC) is an acetylated version of the amino acid Cysteine, and also plays an important role in glutathione production in the body.
Have you wondered how reduced glutathione benefits the immune system? How does glutathione stack up against other oxidation-balancing compounds? Have you discovered an exciting research study on the effects or benefits of NAC? Submit your questions on reduced glutathione and NAC in a comment on the thread below for a chance to be featured in…

What happened with the govt regulation that temporarily made nac impossible to find? Why did they back down off that control attempt?

We probably won't talk about legal/regulatory stuff on the podcast. That's not Emiel and Erika's wheelhouse anyway. Also, we can only speculate as to what the FDA is doing, or their reasons for it. They don't really publicize that. The stuff people know about are related to the public filings, which are only a small part of their actions.
