All magnesium crosses the blood brain barrier. Would kind of be silly if it didn't. Magnesium has key functions in the central nervous system. It it didn't pass the BBB, it wouldn't be able to perform those functions.

The question really is how much of each form gets to the brain, and how quickly? Magtein has the most research on it reaching the brain in higher amounts, but that doesn't mean other forms don't reach the brain. Magnesium will reach the brain in any form. That's one of the functions of magnesium. So of course Micromag will get magnesium to the brain. Will it get as much, more, or less than magnesium L-threonate? It's hard to say without more data. The more precise question would be: does Micromag elevate cerebrospinal fluid levels of magnesium as much as magnesium L-threonate? We just don't have the data to say on that yet. For now we have to assume Magtein will elevate brain magnesium levels better, since there is data on that.
