Wow this is fantastic! Thank you for sharing, I'm very interested in how this stuff works and interacts with our bodies! I try and do research online but the results and information is somewhat questionable.
I think its also interesting that Phenibut acts as a strong Sodium channel blocker, possibly resulting in a majority of its affects. But then Bacolfen with one additional carbon molecule does not, just fascinating stuff.

Small molecular changes can make big differences in affinities. It all depends on which functional groups of the molecule are binding to which receptors. Sometimes the shape changes enough so that it can't fit in the receptor anymore. Sometimes the charge changes. Other times it is an enzymatic difference, where a functional group blocks a certain enzyme from breaking it down, so it can actually bind elsewhere.
