Mister, do you mind sharing more about how the crypto theft happened?
Just 3 weeks ago, I lost over 10k in crypto because my seed phrase (in a txt file on my desktop) was compromised through spyware. I have been telling ALL my friends never to store their seed phrases and backup codes on a computer.

I can't really discuss the specifics, because I don't want to clue anyone else into possible avenues of attack, and I suppose the investigation is still ongoing. We alerted the FBI to it; not that they are going to do anything about it. However, I don't really want to discuss details with it still being an unsolved investigation.
The basics of it are that hackers were able to get into our intermediate wallets using some exploits in Skype. They were able to drain those accounts because of some mistakes made by my team. Essentially, too much crypto was left in those intermediate accounts, and proper 2FA was not setup. Because a good amount of money was left in those intermediate wallets, and secure 2FA was not enabled, they were able to drain those accounts to tumbling wallets before we knew there was a breach. We have since completely revamped every process surrounding crypto, who has access to specific accounts, how much is left in intermediate wallets, and which 2FA sources are allowed to approve transfers, so it can't happen again.
I've had other lesser crypto thefts happen over the years. Usually those are exchange hacks, code exploits, or exit scams by altcoins.
