With great insight comes great opportunity, much of which will inevitably be lost. I didn't know anything about crypto in 2013 and never even stood a chance, and I have horrible health issues that keep me from a full-time job. If I had such a chance it would have probably changed my life completely rather than just been an addition to other successes, but I can't be mad about what I didn't know, only learn from it.
I think that's what that ruminative tendency demands of us--to learn and evolve for the future, not live in the past.

For sure. The same could be said of a lot of things. Man, I wish I had bought Shopify stock at $25 a share in 2016... It's over $1,000 per share now. I literally almost hit the buy button on TSLA when it bottomed out at $37 (I think $160/share pre-split at the time), but I just decided not to. Would have been a good decision. However, you are right. You can't beat yourself up over what could have been. It is interesting to look back on how much more insane it could have been had I not stopped mining in 2010.
