Because the company we used to enteric coat our stuff went out of business due to COVID-19. We have been trying to get other companies to do it, but enteric coating is actually pretty specialized. We were going to move to enteric coated capsules, but our testing nixed that idea. We did tests of some company's enteric coated capsules with our Distek machine, and they all failed... These damn capsules being sold by people are dissolving in 30min in simulated gastric juices! That's longer than a normal capsules, but NOWHERE NEAR what it needs to do to be called enteric coated. So I was left with a choice: wait for who knows how long till we can find another coating partner, or release them uncoated. I had been personally using our epicatechin powder myself with good effects for some time, so I knew it worked. I made the decision that it would be better to get everyone access to the tablets now, rather than wait god knows how long till we can coat them again.
