I just want to say thank you to MisterYouAreSoDumb. The man is incredibly knowledgeable, highly professional, levelheaded, and a tremendous asset to the nootropics community.

He can undoubtedly retire and spend the rest of life operating a coconut farm on a tropical island but he’s on a mission and continues to serve the community.

P.S. MYASD - I read your message the other day about Bitcoin stressing you out - try not to stress about Bitcoin 😉 I’ve been in it since 2013 and I won’t start selling until it’s north of 100k 🙂

You’re definitely living up to your promise.

And I know what you mean about being a perfectionist. I run a company of 55 employees and I have to make many decisions everyday. My brain tries to analyze every angle of every decision and no matter how good a decision I make, I feel like it could have been better. Anything less than perfection is hard for me to make peace with and my brain seems to always be in overdrive. Regret is a hard pill for me to swallow. Being a perfectionist might be the biggest asset to you success, but it’s also a curse in a way. I’m sure you know what I mean.

Being a perfectionist is especially difficult when you’re an investor because it’s almost impossible to make a perfect trade. I still sulk about selling certain altcoins too early or too late from years ago. It’s almost impossible to make a perfect trade, especially in the crypto market since it’s so volatile. After the crypto bubble burst in 2018, I too learned that it’s important to take profits along the way so I’ll be doing that this time around.

We’re just coming out of a 3 year bear market and if this bull run is anything like the prior ones, it’s just basically getting started. I have a feeling that you’ll be thankful that you didn’t sell at 40-41k. Historically, anyone that has ever sold Bitcoin has sold too early since it makes much new highs every cycle.

I definitely know what you mean. I am pretty good about not regretting decisions these days, but that doesn't mean I don't keep them in the back of my mind for a long time. I still ruminate on them, but I try not to let it progress to the level of regret. If I make a good decision with the information I have at the time, I can't hold it against myself if that info later turns out to be incorrect.

I fully expect this bull market to take us well over $100K this time. Still, selling some along the way is likely going to be the only way to keep my sanity through it all. I'll never sell all my holdings, though. I will likely taper out till I reach my comfort level, then hold the rest for another couple cycles.

My username is actually a nod to the Antoine Dodson bed intruder meme from years ago. We got your T-shirt, and you done left fingerprints and all. You are do dumb... you are really dumb. Fo real! Y'all need to hide yo kids, hide yo wives, and hide yo husbands, because they raping err'body out here.

I actually do not have a degree in any science. I went to university for economics and marketing. However, I am mostly self-taught. I research and read a lot, then I hire very intelligent and educated people that I talk to and learn from. You can learn something from anyone around you. You just need to know what to say and how to ask the questions to get that knowledge out of them. I think people have way too structured of an idea of what learning is. You can learn every single day of your life.

I actually used to be a professional teacher. I would fly all over the world and teach business professionals and technicians about all sorts of things. Then I also got into courseware and exam development. I would develop the educational courses and materials to teach people, go and actually teach them in the real world, then run assessments on whether or not they retained that knowledge. It was a very interesting look into the process behind how people learn, and a practical exercise in how changes to courseware, delivery styles, and exam structure affected not only how well people learned what you were trying to teach them, but how best to even assess that. I would be brought into big companies around the world to learn whatever it is they were doing, then create an education and assessment program around that. I created courseware on everything from data networking, telecommunications, and LTE networks to steel-working and healthcare. Flying all over the world and teaching real people from all walks of life was very engaging. I got to see how people in Turkey, the UAE, and Egypt differed from people in the US, Canada, or the UK. It was a really interesting time in my life that allowed me to expand my understanding of how the human mind operates, and how regional, social, cultural, and economic differences affect how we learn. It's also why I am so big on education and the free transfer of knowledge. The human brain is an amazing thing, and when people come together in a productive and open fashion, we can accomplish so much more than many people realize. I think a lot of people like to put up walls around things. People over-structure what the world can be. You don't need a degree in chemistry to learn and understand it. You don't have to have previous experience in an industry to jump in and figure it out. Everyone has so much more potential than they even realize. They just need to have the knowledge of that unlocked inside them. I've seen it happen countless times. Once a person finds that spark inside them, they take themselves to places they never thought possible before. Being a part of helping to trigger that is a very rewarding thing for me. It's also a big part of what nootropics are. It's people asking questions and challenging their current reality in an attempt to advance and improve themselves. It's a very educational and introspective process, and I find that really fun!
