Unfortunately not. We are having to redo the capsule batch. There was too much variability for our liking. It was not the fill rates, though. Those were all fine. It was the mixing itself. The capsules all had the proper amount of powder. However, it seems to be a bitch to get evenly mixed. Our finished capsule HPLC assay testing showed an issue with the contents of the active in the capsules, so I had my team pull individual capsules from all over the batch, then assay EACH capsule separately. This is a lot of work and effort, and is never done. However, that's the only way to get a 100% verification if each capsule has exactly what you expect. Sure enough, there was variability in the capsules. So it did not mix properly throughout the batch, which made the active variable across the run, even though the rill rates were spot on. This is what I talk about when I say looking under as many rocks as we do leads to more issues. If we just did the standard USP capsule testing, we never would have seen this. Then customers would get strong effects some days and weak ones the next. Because we go to a lot greater lengths on analysis, we can catch these things. It also means we have to fix them when we catch them. It's a big hassle, but that's why you trust us.
