NAC smells like sulfur?
Original post in this thread

I recently got some NAC capsules, and the bottle smells very strongly of sulfur. I know it's not uncommon, but I've been reading about it and many people are saying that NAC is sensitive to heat and that the strong smell could mean that it's oxidized. Is this true? I know temperatures in Arizona are very high, and I also live in a hot country, so maybe it oxidized during shipping?

People have no idea what they are talking about. There is so much false and misleading information online, it's crazy. NAC always smells like sulfur. NAC is very stable under normal conditions. We have done lab stability testing to see if we could get it to oxidize from sitting out, and even did high temp/high humidity for months without seeing any degradation. NAC doesn't oxidize under normal conditions. We did a bunch of testing on it to have empirical evidence that the smell was not correlated with oxidation or degradation.
