I'd been hesitant to talk about this, but over half men over 50 and 90% of males or 80 are affected by BPH. It's an enlargement of the prostate gland and long-term effects of testosterone seems to to be involved, in medical terms it "permissive" role. This means that androgens must be present for BPH to occur, but do not necessarily directly cause the condition. Now for me personally, this means when I take tongkat ali, a supplement that increase testosterone, I start spending my nights going to the bathroom to pee several times a night, and during the day, I cannot urinate. I've been prescribed tamsulosin, which relaxes the right muscle to make it easier during the day.
Sorry if TMI, but when I've tried taking Tongkat Ali, my BPH symptoms got worse. On one hand I'm encouraged that this indicates to me that good quality stuff really does increase my testosterone, and its not just placebo effects. On the other hand, being unable to sleep because I'm going to the bathroom several times a night is an unacceptable side effect. I have experimented with SARMs in the past, that's a little off-topic since ND doesn't sell those, although if anyone has experience using SARMs and Tongkat Al…
