Ca-akg

I know I spam this page with occasional requests, and apologies if its annoying, but.

Any plans to release calcium akg? I notice you already have Aakg.

Read a few studies on its beneficial effects, recently!

Hello MYASD and Darkhorseman81,

I've been a lurker on here for a while (have never posted on Reddit before, just signed up), and really appreciate the great variety (and quality) of products offered by ND. Interestingly, less so for nootropic purposes for me than the unique benefits for members of my family with medical conditions that can benefit from ND's unique products.

I had to sign up on Reddit and post as I was hoping for exactly the same product from ND as Darkhorseman81 just asked for. I just purchased Kirkman Ca-AKG for my mother, based on the research, and Darkhorseman posted the relevant papers, but I first learned about ca-AKG via the following story, then read the relevant papers:

I feel much more comfortable giving my mother Ca-AKG, where the ratio of Ca to AKG is relatively low, rather than a 2:1 Arginine version where she is getting a lot of arginine she may not need. In fact, the relevant studies on aging use Ca-AKG so I feel much more comfortable using that. I can tell you that I'd be happy to get Ca-AKG for me and my mom from ND if it were available via ND.

I did just order my mom CuroWhite as she does have some issues with inflammation, so really hoping to get some positive results from that, and I regularly order the GS15-4 for another member of my fam…

Hey! Welcome to Reddit officially!

We can look into it. However, I have some other ideas for better counter-ions than calcium. The alpha-ketoglutarate is what we want. The calcium is just a counter-ion. I think we can do some unique ones. You have to be careful with calcium, as increasing it too much in parts of the body/brain lead to issues. I would feel more comfortable with a different counter-ion; possibly potassium. However, I will brainstorm with the team on possible ones.

I did just order my mom CuroWhite as she does have some issues with inflammation, so really hoping to get some positive results from that, and I regularly order the GS15-4 for another member of my family, and I think it has had a beneficial impact.

I love Curowhite. I take it every day now. We also have a new product coming out soon that is even more cool, in my opinion. It pairs well with Curowhite. I don't want to release the info yet, but it is also great for inflammation and pain.

Also, with respect to oxaloacetate, the stabilized version does exist as a product called Benagene. AOR uses it in their Benagene product. I've been curious about this product, and have been doing some due diligence on it over the least couple of weeks. Again, as for any supplement I purchase, I will always buy it from ND if ND has it, so if ND ever gets this, and I do decide to go ahead with stabilized Oxaloacetate, I would get it from ND.

I will bring it up with the team. I know we tried to get oxaloacetate years ago, but I can't remember what the hold up was. I will circle back with my product development team.

One last point to MYASD: As I'm totally new to Reddit, and this forum, if I have a question about a mechanism of action I am interested in, do I just create a new post? I've been trying to find something that hits a specific mechanism of action via tons of research on Pubmed, and haven't yet found the right option. I can simply tell you that if a supplement can hit this target successfully, it would be quite successful as there is an enormous (and completely untapped) market for it.

Sure, you can make a post on /r/NootropicsDepot, or you can just private message me. Sometimes it can take me a few days to get to all my PMs when I am busy, but I always get to them. I just moved houses this weekend, which is why I have been MIA for a few days. So either way, you can make a post or just private message me.
