Are ND Fish oil products IFOS certified?

Original post in this thread

Came across this website when watching one of Rhonda Patrick's interviews and got curious. I recently got the Triple Strength fish oil from Nootropics Depot. Where does ND source their oil from? And if it is not yet IFOS certified, are there plans underway to do so?

Edit: All the constant downvoters, you're doing no one any service by constantly downvoting ANY post/comment that poses a genuine question/concern to the company. I've seen this happen multiple times on this sub. This sub isn't meant to be exclusively for praise posts. When this constantly happens, one can't help but feel like there is gatekeeping in what can be said about the brand, and that is NOT helpful to the image that the owners have diligently built up over the years. u/MisterYouAreSoDumb has always answered all queries with the necessary information, as he has in this post, and I think many people would like to know the info that is on this post. What you are doing is mindless and unhelpful, wherein even a comment about what you think is more helpful and honest than this pathetic response of downvoting.

I've never even heard of IFOS, and they are VERY vague about how they test. Take a look at the most recent certificate from AlaskOmega.

It's just a bunch of stars with the word "YES"... Where are the methodologies and standardizations?

https://certifications.nutrasource.ca/about/how-products-are-tested

That just says their methods are typically run in accordance with global pharmacopeias, like USP and AOAC... Well, yeah! We use USP and AOAC methods, too. My lab director goes to the AOAC conference every year. Why is there no detailed information on their certification methodologies, and why is their site so sparse?!? I've never even heard of these guys, so why would anyone trust what they are saying? Why would I pay to have this no-name company in Canada "certify" our fish oil, when I have no confidence they are even doing things properly? Anybody can go make a certification company like this, and start charging people to be certified under their plan. That doesn't mean they are a valid organization. Organizations like AOAC and NSF are valid organizations that you can trust. Nutrasource Canada? This is literally the first time I have ever heard of them or their IFOS certification. Why would we blindly trust this organization with no history?

We test every single batch of our fish oil to strict specifications using USP methods. There is nothing that a random "certification" company could tell us about our fish oil that we don't already know. These agencies are more marketing agencies than anything. They license their logo to use on products to make consumers think it means something. Sometimes they do mean something, like USP Verified or NSF. However, many of these smaller organizations have really no reputation at all. It makes zero sense for us to pay them to certify our products, when their name doesn't mean anything, they are vague about what testing they do, and we already test our stuff to death anyway. Do they have their own lab? Do they contract to other labs? Are they ISO certified, or are the labs they use ISO certified? Can I see any scientific data on what this company does? Has anyone here ever even heard of Nutrasource Canada before? They appear to be a CRO that works with brands to help run and publish study results on their products. They are NOT an independent certification organization.
