Has anyone had issues with their ND scale going apeshit after awhile?

So my ND scale has been great for the past handful of months since I got it. All of the sudden it started going crazy when I try to use it. I’m talking the numbers moving up and down all over the place when I try to use it.
I changed the batteries to fresh ones and it didn’t help. I calibrated it and that didn’t help either.
I’m now fucked because I can’t accurately weigh the multitude of supplements I have been using daily.
ND has a warranty on it but money is so tight right now because of stupid covid, that I can’t really afford to send it back for them to look at and determine if they can fix it or send me another.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Does anyone have a trick or suggestion that may fix it?
I really need it to work. The only other scale I have is a gram scale which is of no use for most of my supplements.

It is definitely on a level surface and not in shot of a vent or anything. I have been using it in exactly the same spot and in exactly the same way for months now. I’m not sure how I would ground it since I don’t have the computer case suggested by another person. I only have laptops and they are two prong plugs so no grounds. The only three prong plug stuff I have are extension cords.

We actually have a basic guide for it.
Reducing Static charging on your NDS-201 Mg Scale at Home
Note for best Performance: Some surfaces can interfere with devices of this type. This unit works best with: Metal Surfaces or Grounded Weighing surfaces.
Method 1: Draining Static Charge into Metal Surface
1. Place scale on flat metal surface for example Cookie Sheet or baking pan.
2. Allow unit to drain charging into pan for 1 to 5 min.
3. Observe Scale behavior. If issue still exists, then allow for longer drain time until scale behavior is stable.
4. If issue persists. Please Contact Customer Service Representative at [email protected].
Method 2: Hypoallergenic Chemical Free Dryer Sheet
1. Remove scale from packaging and place unit on weighing surface. (Please Consider Surface Material Note)
2. Close the lid on Unit to ensure no damage is done to the load cell.
3. Gently wipe exterior of unit with Hypoallergenic Chemical Free Dryer Sheet to reduce Static.
4. Sanitize Unit with Isopropyl Alcohol. (Exterior Only)
5 . Observe Scale behavior. If issue persists. Please Contact Customer Service Representative.
