You can write a sternly worded letter to the Supreme Court of the United States on that, and explain how their ruling on South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc. was bullshit. I am with you on it. It is bullshit. We also have to pay tens of thousands of dollars a year just for the tools to track, calculate, collect, and remit these tax payments to the various states and municipalities.
Want to know what else is highway robbery? Our credit card processing fees are about 7%. So $42 of that order we have to pay our processing bank for the privilege of being able to run his/her card. So for that $601.41 order, we only get about $450 of it. That has to pay for all the costs of the products and our overhead. So $151 of it is money being taken from us and going to other companies. That's 25% of the entire order... Highway robbery is right. It's just we are not the ones robbing.
Also, normally they would get free shipping. Since they paid, they must have selected an overnight option.
