Turkey Tail caused joint pain?
Original post in this thread

So, I had an odd reaction to taking turkey tail. I noticed that I had some mild, constant joint pain that started after I started taking turkey tail. I continued taking it for a few weeks. After I quit taking it, the random joint pain went away. Anyone else have a similar issue, or know why this may have happened?
I have a bottle of the Immune Defense too, but I haven't tried taking it yet since it also contains turkey tail and I'm worried about having a similar side effect from it...
Edit: Worth noting- I've taken black hoof, white jelly, and cordyceps from ND before as well as a Genius brand mushroom blend and did not have this side effect.

Is it just limited to your joints? Perhaps you have naturally higher uric acid, and the turkey tail is increasing it somewhat. I wonder if you added in a tart cherry extract if that would make the symptoms go away?
The turkey tail extract in Immune Defense is pretty different than our normal turkey tail capsules. Plus, you have other anti-inflammatory in there. I would be curious to see how you react to Immune Defense.
