they actually offer a strictly water-based extract now for those that are freaked out about the milk thing. They still call that KSM-66, though.
That's incredibly stupid. I mean, they didn't originally use milk for the extraction just for shits and giggles, but because it results in a better product, right? Can't imagine otherwise.

Correct. That's the traditional Ayurvedic way of making ashwagandha. They made a big deal about it being the traditional full-spectrum extraction method. I guess some people got freaked out by the milk thing, so they made another one without it. However, you really need to call it something different at that point, or your get people confused as to why they are reacting well to one and not another. Again, this is just our speculation on what the issue might be. I will have to test in the lab to really know for sure, but it is looking like that is the most likely scenario here.
