Berberine and Testosterone
Original post in this thread

I recently came across this study finding that Berberine significantly lowered testosterone in women with PCOS.
I mainly take Berberine once at night for longevity reasons (AMPK regulation), but am concerned now that it could have adverse testosterone effects.
Does anyone have further information on this?

If you lurk around /r/testosterone and related subreddits, you'll also occasionally come across guys who have a bunch of low testosterone symptoms but extremely high testosterone (like upwards of 1500 ng/dl). Talking to these people, the main thing most of them have in common seems to be autoimmune disorders

Very true. It's more complex than most people realize. Testosterone is just one hormone. LH, FSH, DHT, cortisol, prolactin, etc. all play a role.
