Omega-3 Fish Oil Triple Strength 1000mg Softgel Capsules = fish burps

Hello everyone,
I have recently switched from genuine health's omega 3 supplements to the Omega-3 Fish Oil Triple Strength 1000mg Softgel Capsules, and for the first time I have been consistently having fish burps in the following hours after taking a capsule on an empty stomach. It never happenned with Genuine Health's. This is the first time I feel like I may have gotten an inferior product from Nootropics Depot. Am I wrong to think that? Could the conditions it was stored during shipping have degraded it?

We test every single batch of fish oil for peroxide levels. So we empirically measure whether or not it has been oxidized. That is what I assume you are inferring is the issue here. That's what people call rancidity. It's how oxidized it is. However, oxidation levels don't really affect "fish burps." Those are more affected by where the softgel dissolves, and if your esophageal sphincter opens enough to allow reflux of the oil back up your esophagus. Why would that happen with one formula and not another? Well let's look at the ingredients.
The Genuine Health ones contain canola oil, sunflower oil, and citric acid. Ours are just fish oil and purified water. Both have mixed tocopherols. Theirs also has rosemary flavor. So perhaps the extra added oil in theirs is signaling your body to digest faster and move your stomach content along. Without the added oil in ours, your body might not have enough in your stomach to signal the movement of the stomach contents along down your GI tract. So it sits in your stomach longer, and you may have an esophageal sphincter that is allowing some back up. It could also be random because of some other factor. Everyone's digestion processes are very complex. A lot of things affect it. It's really hard to say why one person might have fish burps, while another doesn't. The quality of the fish oil, nor the peroxide level, will usually affect fish burps. It's all in how quickly your body moves the oil down your GI tract.
