Ohh man, you didn't know about emoxypine? It's a fantastic antioxidant. So it helps with the oxidative effects of alcohol. On top of that, it catalyzes the breakdown of acetaldehyde into CO2 and H2O! So it helps get rid of alcohol's main toxic metabolite. How it does this is actually through its counter ion. You see, emoxypine is sold as a succinate salt. That's a salt of emoxypine and succinic acid. It's the succinic acid that catalyzes the breakdown of acetaldehyde. This is the entire reason we have succinic acid in Alcohol Defense! A lot of thought and planning went into the development of Alcohol Defense.
