Immune Defense VS Epicor

I've been reading a bit about the ingredients in Immune Defense and have a couple questions. Mainly wondering why you didn't include Epicor in Immune Defense, but also why I might decide to go with one VS the other. I have to be fairly selective when introducing new stuff, and normally need to replace things instead of add, once I get to one too many pills, adherence for taking anything goes down.

u/MisterYouAreSoDumb I am still wondering how you guys got around the patent?

We didn't. Epicor is a fermented product that they keep a trade secret. Nobody knows the exact process they use, but the idea is that they ferment Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which results in the production of minerals like zinc and other compounds like peptides, antioxidants, polyphenols, organic acids, and nucleotides. However, much of the research we found showed that the β-Glucans with a 1,3-core and 1,6-sidechains were the main immune-boosting things. So we decided to just do an extract of Saccharomyces cerevisiae standardized to those β-Glucans. We do not ferment it, so it does not convert some of the things to the other compounds. As such, they are not the exact same product. They are just made from the same species of yeast targeting the same type of immune modulation.
