What's the deal with sarcosine? Is it coming back any time soon?

It's true, but in some papers it is listed as a potential mechanism for synergistic effects in stroke models, as p-glycoprotein would be a mechanism that would reduce it, albeit clearly not eliminate it. One thing that would be interesting would be to find something that stops berberine from increasing p-glycoprotein expression in the gut long term, which not only limits its absorption but limits the absorption of other agents, even for some time after you stop taking it.

I'll have to brainstorm a bit on how one might down-regulate P-glycoprotein, or at least prevent the up-regulation.
