If you were driving around and got pulled over, a cop seeing the scale would make them suspicious and they’d totally add it as an extra charge if you did have anything on you, regardless of whether it was for that or not.
Yeah, people are weird. Like how getting shitfaced on alcohol is widely accepted, but doing the equivalent with some other substance doing much the same would be considered strange or ‘wrong’ to someone else.

But seriously, I just got a "supporting police officers" license plate, and all my issues with police are gone. I got pulled over in my M3, and he gave me a warning and said that he understands it's different with BMW M cars. LOL. I've had multiple police come up behind me and get right on my bumper, then they see that I support police officers and go on their way. It's nuts! Best $25 I've ever spent!
So if you have a scale, just make sure you have a supporting police officers license plate. Haha
