Does this product contain the correct amount of Bacopa monnieria if i were to take 1 capusule a day?

It has an apparent "Standardised extract with 12% bacoside concentration"
However, Examine.com states that "The standard dose for Bacopa monnieri is 300mg, assuming that the total bacoside content (the active compound) is 55% of the extract, by weight".
However, the extract is only 12% on the Amazon product?
Any help would be greatly appreciated here :) thanks!

This study referred to a standardized dose as 50% bacosides, and I'll assume it's true to make the math easier.
If a standard dose is 300mg with 50% bacosides, you're getting 150mg bacosides per dose.
With that product, it's only 250mg and 12% bacosides...which comes to 30mg bacosides per dose. You would need to take 5 of those.

That's 50% by UV-VIS, which DRASTICALLY overstates the actual bacoside amounts. A 50% bacoside extract by UV-VIS will only have around 15-19% actual bacosides by HPLC. The Swanson product above is using Bacognize brand bacopa, from Verdure. They were the first to switch over to the more accurate HPLC methods. If you were to translate their 12% HPLC back to UV-VIS, it would be about 45%.
Swanson is a garbage company with horrible quality control, though. So I would avoid them for that reason. However, the bacopa they are using is fine. Don't take 5 capsules of anything unless a product tells you to. That's a recipe for a bad time.
