R-alpha lipoic acid / racemic alpha lipoic acid?

What they were answering

Hmm well /u/somestranger26 and /u/misteryouaresodumb have told me r and na r are different but maybe I'm misremembering or wrong. You explained it yourself, racemic inactivates itself and has shorter half life

Non-salt R-ALA is very unstable, and not very bioavailable. Even racemic ALA is more bioavailable and stable than it. NA-R-ALA is better than both, though. That's the sodium salt of R-ALA.
