I know we're all excited for the release of new products, of course. I'm hoping to see existing things like NA-Selank-Amidate up for sale in spray form :)

Woudn't that kind of information likely be covered in someone's education if they were a legitimate researcher? I have no clinically based education, but as an engineering student they made us take extensive work covering how to properly do engineering/science related lab experiments. Not to mention classes teaching the general "scientific method" in high school.
Trials using more complex systems, like people or rodents, obviously have different considerations, but hopefully those would be taught in someone's undergrad?

For most, yes. However, helping people just starting out on ways to make their personal research more scientifically accurate is a good thing. Look at /u/gwern's site, and how he attempts to help people to understand how to setup more statistically valid trials. It's an attempt to foster an interest in scientifically valid research, in people who might not know that is what they want to do as a career yet. For people already in a research career, the info would most likely be superfluous. It would be more for amateur researchers, and those interested in starting out in it.
