How do you open spray bottles?

I don't get it, I've never used one of these before. No instructions provided. How do you spray anything from it? I don't want to stab a hole in the top...

There is a clear little cap on top of the spray nozzle that you have to take off. Once you take that little cap off, it should spray out when you pump it down.
