Sooo, why the heck is it coming back with results for 50% fentanyl...? I'm quite sure how to read these. Would that cause a drug test pop?

I sprinkled a little Fentanyl in there, just for fun. When in Rome, right?
Haha, no. That just means that the spectrum has a 50% correlation to the spectrum of Fentanyl. FTIR picks up functional groups by passing an infrared light through a sample, then taking the background noise out of the spectral result. If you look at the functional groups on Toremifene, and the ones on Fentanyl, you will see there are some similarities with the aromatic rings. That means they will have somewhat similar of reflections when IR light is passed through them. So the spectrums are going to have something in common with the shape of the curve. It does not mean there is Fentanyl in there, or that it would show up similarly on a drug test. It just means that it reflects IR light in a somewhat similar fashion.
