According to /u/MisterYouAreSoDumb, HHMA and HMMA are not neurotoxic and don't even pass the BBB, but HHMA is hepatotoxic.

The initial dose inhibits CYP2D6, which causes more to be metabolized to MDA. That means that of course they will find less of the N-methylated metabolites than a linear dose accumulation, as it has already been N-demethylated by the secondary pathway, CYP3A4. This is the whole non-linear metabolism that I speak about in my theory.
