I use cocaine/crack one night every 2 months or so. Am I addicted?

Original post in this thread

I live a happy life. I have a beautiful girlfriend and a daughter that is 8 weeks from being born. Every 2 months or so I go out and get drunk and end up doing some cocaine/crack. Ill usually leave the bar at 2am and do my drugs until 5am. I admitted everything to my So and she thinks I need rehab. I just don't think I have a problem... I never crave the drugs it's just something that I will casually do every couple months.

I'm not sure if I'm just blind to affliction or in denial. Either way I'm confused. What do you guys think?

Of course you are not addicted! You have an activity you enjoy doing every once in a while. That would be like your girlfriend saying you are an alcoholic because you go out and do shots with friends every couple months. It's a ridiculous statement.

If your drug use is not adversely affecting your life, and you enjoy it, then there is nothing wrong with it.
