Will ~75mg of MDMA be enough for a first timer?

Going to a social event soon, was just wondering if around 75mg of pure MDMA in pill form (minus the fillers to press it) will be alright. I have a pill that's about 150 mg and I figure it might be too much for a first timer.

Does not sound stupid at all to me mate :) I think I shall respect the drug and follow your advice to save it for another time. You can only do anything for the first time one time in your life after all!

Good choice! I'd suggest 150mg for your first time. I'm partial to music events, but anything you enjoy will be good. And make sure you have people you care about with you to share in the experience. It makes it tons better!
