We may find many potential cognitive enhancing drugs when looking at the different mechanism(s) of action. Yes 'racetams are great, but when you see the vast potential ability of other drugs acting on the brain it is astounding that we don't have more of a variety to choose from. I'm posting this list to help this community understand the potential of finding new cognitive enhancing drugs. We need to crowdsource our research to find current drugs and existing drugs for all these categories. I suggest users do a little bit of research in various publications to find drugs with a different mechanism of action than ones that act on Acetylcholine receptors.

__Adenosine Receptors
__Adrenergic Receptors DRUG NAME: Dabelotine - synaptic plasticity - here
__Angiotensin Receptors DRUG NAME: Losartan - memory - here
__Cannabinoid Receptors
__Chemokine Receptors
__Dopamine Receptors DRUG NAME: Sulbutiamine
__Endothelin Receptors
__GABA Receptors DRUG NAME: CGP36742 - enhanced cog. in young - [he…

I guess they do see a bunch of words but, without the researchers collaborating and using the "words", we will have no progress in this field. I'll look into starting a new post with more specific info.

I hear you. Perhaps just structuring it differently, or focusing on a few concepts at a time would help. I've just seen a lot of posts, and I know how people will respond. It would be nice if we could just throw up some concepts and have people go out and research, but that doesn't ever seem to happen.
