Amsterdam drug scene

Original post in this thread

I am planning a trip to Amsterdam (sometime soon, unsure of when) and I am definitely going to be trying to buy some drugs. I am a daily user of cannabis and have tried cocaine, molly, and mushrooms once each. What kind of drugs (other than cannabis obviously) are popular in Amsterdam? I've heard people say that in the Red Light District cocaine is fairly easy to come by. If anybody who has been to Amsterdam or has information on it could give me a run down of what drugs are common and what drugs I won't be able to find that would be amazing. Stay safe.

Shrooms cannot be bought anymore (though you can buy growkits and spores) but truffles are still legal - they are basically the little brothers of shrooms. Getting into clubs as a tourist is indeed rather difficult, especially if you don't know where you want to go. Unlike other big cities, amsterdam has a rather hidden clubbing scene, so you should inform yourself upfront where you want to go (or befriend said locals). When I was new here it happened to me more than once that I was not let into a club because I didn't knew what DJ was playing (With the excuse "sorry we'd like to keep it private tonight!")

Yeah, it's much more enjoyable if you can meet a local and have them show you around. I met an Australian girl living in Amsterdam for a year, and she took me places I never would have found.
