MDMA after NBOMe?

Original post in this thread

So I have 25C-NBOMe that I would like to take at EDC. Is it safe to take MDMA after I come down?

Au contraire... the action of MDMA appears to be in part related to activation of 5-HT2A receptors. However, abuse of this receptor system is not typically physically dangerous. However, seeing as both MDMA and NBOMe have stimulant properties, so I would be very wary about using the two in close succession, as this might spell trouble for your blood pressure/body temperature/etc.

Interesting. MDMA does not directly bind to that receptor. It must have some other effect that is causing activity at that site. That study did not really have any pharmacological specifics. It could very well be what I mentioned, the 10% that metabolizes to MDA then binds to that site. All the study proved was that blocking the 5-HT2A receptor showed lowering of MDMA seeking behavior. I will need to research more on this.
