Plz plz plz pretty please do an eye health stack. I'm so tired of buying bunk products.

- Lutein

- Zeaxanthin

- Flaxseed

- Astaxanthin

just 4 things

really good for eye health.

Buying those is like winning the "is it genuine" lottery. Even from places like NOW. Oddly I have more luck buying NOW from amazon than it's official uk importer?

I think C3G and OptimALA is useful so have been taking them from ND for now.

I tried it and it didn’t budge my LDL at all. I also learnt that in the US, FDA doesn’t allow red yeast products to contain significant amounts of monacolin K, that actual compound or statin (lovastatin) that causes reduction in LDL/Apob. I’m sure you know these things so I am curious what made you try it out.
On a side note, I find their Meriva does not work compared to ND. I get the physician discount on theirs so really wanted it to work but unfortunately it didn’t work for my pain. I tend to use it post lifting for DOMS or joint pain after running

Interesting to hear you say that, because our marketing manager found the same thing. He had high cholesterol, took the Thorne Choleast 900, and his cholesterol did not go down. So perhaps they are not one I should put any trust in.

That's not exactly true. Here is how the FDA regulates red yeast rice.

https://www.nccih.nih.gov/health/red-yeast-rice

According to the FDA, red yeast rice products that have enhanced or added lovastatin—which is structurally identical to monacolin K—cannot be marketed as a dietary supplement in the United States. This regulation is based on the FDA’s approval of lovastatin as a new drug before it was ever marketed as a food or dietary supplement.

So you can sell red yeast rice with natural lovastatin in it. You just can't sell it with enhanced or added lovastatin, or marketed in such a way as to treat a disease. The Thorne product should contain lovastatin/moncolin K. However, perhaps it just doesn't. I have not done any lab testing of it. I will work on that. Maybe I just need to source my own standardized version of it myself. I just wanted the ease of buying the Thorne stuff off Amazon to try, but I should know better, I guess.

That's really interesting on the Thorne Meriva not working, while ours does... I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I wonder WTF they are doing?!?

petition for ND to change the filler 'maltodextrin' to something else
