There was an in vitro study with human liver cells that concluded that pre-treatment with TUDCA markedly increased cell damage by alcohol, though there were benefits through a different mechanism to coadministration (not pre-) of TUDCA. Yes, some of the dosing was high, but they did observe negative effects at a more conservative dose on at least one metric. Timing in which negative effects were observed were at both 4 hour and 1 hour pretreatment intervals.

So yeah, in vitro, not the same, for sure, but I personally wouldn’t be that inclined to roll the dice. Timing and alcohol consumption are also concerns for milk thistle and NAC, it’s not an unheard of phenomena.
