Advice for Black Ginger

Original post in this thread

Waiting for my black ginger supplement to arrive from Based Supplements. I was recommended to take it to increase my body temperature and increase my libido. When do you guys recommend taking it in the day? How long does the effects last? The supplement says its 300mg of black ginger per pill. I was thinking of taking one pill before/during dinner. Is 300mg a lot or enough? What are your thoughts and feeling from taking black ginger every day?

In case you weren't aware, this is the subreddit for Nootropics Depot. We would appreciate it if you discussed the products of other brands either on their own subreddits if they have one or a more general supplement subreddit, such as r/Supplements. That all being said, we carry a potent black ginger product too if you are ever interested in checking us out! In fact, ours is quite a bit cheaper too, to be precise, it's 59% cheaper if you compare the Based product to our smallest size black ginger. The savings are even better when you get the largest size.

One thing I will mention here, is that Based is claiming on their page:

The Market's Only Enhanced Black Ginger.

This is very much false, in fact, we have carried our black ginger extract for almost a year longer than they have. What feels like kind of a dig at us too, is that we were the first on the market to standardize to a high amount of 5,7-dimethoxyflavone at 10%. Now they come out almost a year later with their version being 11% of "dimethoxyflavone" (this should be 5,7-dimethoxyflavone, just "dimethoxyflavone" doesn't even exist), which is 1% higher than ours. Seems like kind of a petty jab at us haha, but I'm probably just overthinking it!

Anyways, if you made it through my rant, I'll offer up some advice as compensation for reading my rant haha. I personally take our black ginger in the morning. It's quite…

It's also not 1% higher than ours. We just set our spec to be reasonable to hit every single time. Our most recent batch of Black Ginger is 11.24% 5,7-dimethoxyflavone. They likely just decided to state higher to make it look better, where we always set our specs lower than we actually get, to ensure we can meet it every single time.
